A Note of Welcome
Our gatherings honor all forms of grief including from losses, change and transitions, childhood wounds, sorrows for our world (environmental, political, racial, cultural loss), loss of village and belonging, ancestral grief, and anything else present. There is no grief too big or too small for our circles.

Online Grief & Gratitude Ritual – April
During this 2-hour gathering, we will light a candle togehter and join in song, poetry, movement, and deep listening to honor our collective grief & gratitude. Space is limited.

Seattle-Area Grief Retreat
Join us as we gather at Rite of Passage Journeys in Bothell, WA for a 2-day retreat to honor our grief and gratitude through talking circles, singing, poetry, movement, practice in sacred listening, ceremony, sharing food, and quiet time in nature.

Winter Solstice Grief Choir (Seattle)
We’re excited to offer this again over the winter solstice. Join us for an evening in-person, filled with song, ritual, sacred witness, and community care. No need to be “good” at singing—this space is open to anyone who feels called to explore and express grief and praise through rhythm, vocal movement, beauty, and sharing what’s on your heart.

Friday Facilitator Consult Circle – Online
This group is ideal for grief tenders who are already facilitating grief rituals or preparing to step into a facilitation role. It’s an opportunity for fellow grief tenders to share learnings, seek collaboration, bring questions and discussion topics, and offer support to one another. It is also a space to build a supportive peer community — because we can’t do this work alone.

Grief Tender Mentoring Program (2025-2026)
A yearlong journey for those holding or aspiring to hold grief rituals. Guided by elders Thérèse Charvet and Laurence Cole, it includes two in-person retreats and monthly online gatherings. Rooted in the teachings of Malidoma and Sobonfu Somé, the program offers skills and support for tending grief in community.

Grief Tending Practice Circle – Online
For those who have been learning about grief tending and are ready to take the next step towards grief ritual facilitation, this circle offers a supportive “practicum” space to integrate and apply your learnings with peers in a community ritual setting.
